In June of 2016, Gerald buys Rubi an engagement ring and asks her parents (and sister) for her hand in marriage. He even goes as far as to translate his words to Spanish and recites his request that way. So sweet, so thoughtful. Both Rubi and her family are moved. Her family gives their 1000% approval and after saying a few words of advice and well wishes, it becomes official. RUBI AND GERALD ARE ENGAGED!!!
